Family Health Network of Central New York, Inc.
Serving Cortland, Madison, and Cayuga Counties
The 340B prescription drug program is a vital lifeline for safety-net providers, supporting essential health services in our communities. The program enables covered entities, like Family Health Network, to stretch scarce federal resources as far as possible, enabling them to reach more eligible patients and provide additional services to low-income individuals. Savings from the 340B program help covered entities, like FHN, meet the healthcare needs of underserved patients across the country. Congress should preserve and protect the 340B program as an essential part of the safety-net that does not rely on taxpayer dollars.
Family Health Network’s 340B Story:
Family Health Network (FHN) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), serving Cortland and contiguous counties in Central New York. FHN is the only source of care in three of the five communities served, and the only source of sliding fee adjustments for low-income individuals and families in the Cortland County region. FHN’s mission is to promote and improve the health of the Central New York community through quality, affordable healthcare at multiple, convenient, state of the art facilities while supporting employees, and maintaining long term viability.
